Looks like you have allergy problem. It could be due to nearby sources. Here are some checklist to rule out other sources of infection 1. Nose and sinus - frequent nose block, discharge 2. Dental caries - get filling done 3. Acid problem - burping, or chest burn, pain stomach- avoid lying down after meals for atleast 2 hours 4. It is unlikely that enlarged tonsils cause foreign body feeling in throat. You should consult ent specialist for proper examination of throat, sound box etc. Some times vitamin or iron deficiencies give such sensation. Proper inspection under good illumination by ent person will settle the matter.

Burt let me tell you the fact that god has given spare organs for every vital organs like 2 eyes, two kidneys, 2 ears, 2 nose cavities, 2 testes, 2 tonsils, 2 hands, 2 feet and what not. Hello it can be due to mouthbreathing habit. It happend due to many reasons. Measures:- 1. Practice makes a man perfect: try to start breathing from your nose. You can do yoga or meditation to try get used to nasal breathing. 2. There can be any obstruction in nose or throat that is causing you to breath via mouth like enlarged adenoids, tonsilitis, polyps or any anatomical issue with the nose. That requires attention. 3. Clear your nasal passage with nasal washing. 4. Reduce your stress levels. Its a major cause of mouth breathing. 5. Exercise regularly.

The occurance of tonsillitis is usually sudden and there are no pre-defined symptoms for it. Once you are infected with tonsils, you may feel sore or scratchy throat, pain and difficulty in swallowing. In case of acute tonsils, symptoms lasts for 2 to 4 days. In few patients, however, symptoms may last for 2 weeks. Another type is recurrent tonsillitis that comes several times a year in a patient.
