Hello. Based on your description, it looks like the lump is an infected swelling (can be cyst). Your symptoms also are suggestive of acute inflammation. Hot water fomentation helps a lot in such situation. So please do that. Also some oral medicines need to be started right away for controlling the infection and subjective relief, otherwise it may go into a stage of cellulitis. One needs to see the lump first for giving appropriate treatment. So kindly provide a photograph for the same. You can reach me out for further queries and treatment plan. Thank you.

The frontal sinuses are located above the eyes; when they are inflamed, the result is swelling above the eyebrows, the medical term for this condition is sinusitis. Sinuses are air-filled spaces within the bones of the face, around the nose. Or edema could be another cause of your problem. Edema, also known as swelling, can appear near the eyes. In some cases, the swelling may affect the upper and lower eyelids or only one eyelid. In some cases, only the area just above the eye may appear swollen. An eye infection caused by bacteria or a virus may also cause swelling. You may need a right medical consultation to get your eyes examined correctly.
