Persistent complaints of nose and throat may be due to allergic factor like weather, dust, inhalant in atmosphere which may have to be identified by self exploration and to be avoided wherever possible. If not medications like decongestants, local seasonal steroids etc are to be tried. There may be structural defect causing obstruction like deviated nasal septum, tonsils, adenoids, polyps etc which will be found by ent specialist. To give adequate relief is job of such specialist. Consult an experienced and reputed ent surgeon and be under his/her care for follow up etc. Breathing exercises of yoga may also help.

Blood in cough occurs in following conditions 1) constant coughing can damage your alveloli so it is like a lesion 2) you might be suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease 3) you are used to coughing a lot so that sometimes unknowingly you cough rigorously that blood came out just do following things: do a chest xray do cbc, rft, sr. Hello it can be due to mouthbreathing habit. It happend due to many reasons. Measures:- 1. Practice makes a man perfect: try to start breathing from your nose. You can do yoga or meditation to try get used to nasal breathing. 2. There can be any obstruction in nose or throat that is causing you to breath via mouth like enlarged adenoids, tonsilitis, polyps or any anatomical issue with the nose. That requires attention. 3. Clear your nasal passage with nasal washing. 4. Reduce your stress levels. Its a major cause of mouth breathing. 5. Exercise regularly.

Only qualified and experienced ent specialist will be able to clear your doubts and make a diagnosis and offer further management. Allergy to some airborne agent, septal defect or some soft tissue growth may be the cause. Treatment is arranged depending on the cause. Sneezing suggests allergy and headache may be due to sinus disease. Decon nasal drops gives temporary relief by shrinking the inner soft lining of nostrils if there is allergic congestion. Its irregular use may give a habit. Get second opinion from experienced local ent consultant.

Long time otrivin use leads to rhinitis medicamentosa, with excessive nasal crusting, post nasal drip, feeling of nasal obstruction, foul smell, hyposmia. U need to stop using otrivin, take mucinac tablet 600 mg twice a day dissolved one in one glass of water, saline (nasivion-s) nasal drops 3 drops 5 times a day, plain water steam inhalation.

1. Visit an ent doctor to rule out any possible cause of obstruction 2. You can get an endoscopy done 3. Iron defeciency in diet causes difficulty swallowing (get cbc test done to check for this)
