A number of factors increase the chance of irregular menstruation. Most relate to hormone production. The two hormones that impact menstruation are estrogen and progesterone. These are the hormones that regulate the cycle. Contraceptives can cause irregular bleeding. An intrauterine device (iud) may cause heavy bleeding, while the contraceptive pill can cause spotting between periods. Other changes that are associated with irregular periods include: -extreme weight loss -extreme weight gain -emotional stress -eating disorders, such as anorexia or bulimia -endurance exercise, for example, marathon running. In homeopathy several medicines are available for irregular periods which can restore this and make you happy and cheerful. These medicines are cheap and without side effects. Femilon is safe mostly. And it should regularise your periods. Howver, PCOS diagnosis is a diagnosis of exclusion, meaning it should not be made solely on ultrasound, and other causes of irregular periods need to be ruled out. One also needs to make sure if you have any sugar problems thatâs associated with PCO, upon Which u need additional medicines. I donât know what âpcod sachetsâ u have been taking, I certainly havenât heard of this before. Howver I hope ur doctor has made PCOD diagnosis after ruling out other causes and advised u lifestyle modifications along with femilon, or else it wonât work. If you want, I can review your notes to see if u have pcod at all and prescribe u lifestyle modifications. If youâre interested, please book online consultation with me, or else you can carry on with femilon, which is safe donât worry and unlikely to affect pregnancy in future.
