Symptoms of arthritis symptoms of osteoarthritis may include joint pain and progressive stiffness that develops gradually. Symptoms of may include painful swelling, inflammation, and stiffness in the fingers, arms, legs, and wrists occurring in the same joints on both sides of the body, especially upon waking up in the morning. Slowly tighten the muscle on top of the thigh (quadriceps) and push the back of the knee down into the rolled towel. Hold contraction for 5 seconds and then slowly release, resting 5 seconds between each contraction. Perform 3 sets of 10 repetitions, 1 time daily. 2.straight leg raise also helps to strengthen the quadriceps muscle. Lie on your back with the leg you want to exercise straight. The other knee should be bent to support your lower back. Tighten the muscle on the top of your thigh and lift to the level of your other knee. Slowly lower. Perform 3 sets of 10 repetitions, 1 time daily. It is important that you need to have movements in and around the knee so that the blood flow will not be disturbed. •knee ligament laxity•if you have problem in your legs then it might be due to ligament laxity where your legs would become very weak due to the old ligament injury and that should be treated immediately. •wear knee cap so that you will feel firm while walking or climbing stairs.•this is a general strain and for this you can follow these measures: one keep a pillow right under the knee while sleeping, next is you can keep ice in the painful area for about 5--10 minutes, if pain still persists you can stretch your body by twisting the waist on both sides how we used to do in the school drill similarly you can try! one time you can do hot water fermentation that would help to reduce the muscle strain. •legs becoming numb and also pain is there when the patient walks for 10-15 minutes?•it looks like you are anaemic. Close the knot in a door at knee height. Step into the loop with your injured leg so the tubing is around the back of your knee. Lift the other foot off the ground and hold onto a chair for balance, if needed. Bend the knee with tubing about 45 degrees. Slowly straighten your leg, keeping your thigh muscle tight as you do this. Repeat 15 times. Do 2 sets of 15. If you need an easier way to do this, stand on both legs for better support while you do the exercise. 2•standing calf stretch: stand facing a wall with your hands on the wall at about eye level. Keep as arthritis is very common that you get generally bilaterally. Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone •stretching exercises. Regular, steady stretching exercises can reduce muscle spasm and help lengthen the muscle-tendon unit. Don't bounce during your stretch. 3•strengthening exercises. As arthritis is very common that you get generally bilaterally. Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. You can take ultrasonic therapy in one of the nearby physiotherapy clinics which would help to heal the damaged cartilages along with shortwave diathermy which would help to improve the blood circulation. It looks like you are anaemic. That's the reason the knee goes for genu recurvatum which is nothing but backward bowing of legs. This can be prevented by wearing knee brace to support the knee from going backwards while you walk or climb stairs. Check with your haemoglobin levels and also with your calcium & vitamin levels in your body by consulting a general physician.

Popping or cracking noises could just be gas bubbles bursting within the fluid surrounding the joint, or the sound of ligaments and tendons stretching and releasing. A soft snapping or clicking sound is also sometimes caused by a tight muscle or tendon moving over a bony structure.

Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports Taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area Contrast Fomentation (Hot and Cold).

Hello. These are signs of early osteoarthritis. The pressure on your knees increase a number of times when you squat in an indian style toilet or sit cross-legged. Try to shift to a western type toilet if you don't want a very painful knee at an early age. Apart from this you need quadriceps strengthening exercises to keep your knees pain free. Good luck.

Hello, this crepitus sound is the early sign of osteoarthritis of knee. This is may be due to overweight or deficiency of vitamin d3 or calcium or due to poor posture. You can follow these advises:- 1. Take calcium supplements and sun bath daily to prevent further damage to your joints. 2. Avoid heavy lifting. 3. Avoid squatting and weight bearing activities. 4. Use western toilet. 5. Wear shock absorbing, good quality of shoes while walking. 6. Keep roll of a towel under your knees while sleeping. 7. Perform some gentle exercises and stretching of your all joints before getting out of your bed. 8. Walk straight with shoulder protracted. 9. Perform deep breathing exercises or yoga for proper functioning of lungs.
