Dear Lybrate user, from the details you had given ---i feel that you require check-up by a urologist and gynaecologist and continued treatment at beginning of recurrence--- along with that lifestyle changes as follows is very important in preventing recurrence of your problemsmobileas you have recurrent uti --i advice to consult a urologist and gynecologist-------- do needful lab tests and take medicines as per prescription and inform your doctor of any pending problems so that he can extend some medicines or add new medicines --if needed-- -in this regard, life style changes are important for avoiding recurrence ---kindly make a daily schedule of activities for you --with specific timings for sleep; daily routine needs like passing stools; urine and bath ; taking food; entertainments etc.-drink 12-14 glasses of water daily // take 250 g of fresh veg salads and 150 gm of fresh fruits before lunch and dinner daily // pass stools minimum twice daily and pass urine minimum every 3-4 hours -keep your toilet daily cleaned and disinfected/ pass urine with minimum droplets from floor falling in your private areas ,so that you may not get another bout of uti with newer micro organisms.
