Does surgery for intermittent exotropia cure it for life time? Or squint come again?

Dear Lybrate user:- Strabismus surgery should be completed in two steps. If there r residual squint after first surgery, then second surgery should be done. Intermittent exotropia should also be corrected in same patterns. Patching should also improve the intermittent exotropia.
