Sir, I have done my hiv test last 2 month at that time my index value is 0.04 but after 2 month I have done hiv test again from same lab but at that time index value 0.07, so sir please tell is it possible to having hiv positive or not plzz sirr give fast reply I am so much afraid.

Good Morning ~ Your test result from the same lab at two months of "0.07" is "nonreactive. That means you are definitively and conclusively HIV negative. The "index value" (also called the "signal-to-cutoff ratio") is a technical term having to do with how this type of HIV-antibody test is conducted. Values less than 0.90, like yours, are definitively negative! Values between 0.9 and 1.0 would be equivocal or borderline. And values above 1.0 would be preliminarily positive. These preliminarily positive (or provisionally reactive) tests require a confirmatory test before someone is told they are HIV positive (infected). However, none of this applies to you, as you are conclusively HIV negative. Any other clarification to allay anxiety is definitely invited.
