I am 23 year old boy. I feel pain at different parts of my body. The pain subsides within few minutes. When I go to any physician for symptoms of painThen he runs tests and nothing comes out it. I feel that I suffer from somatization. Please suggest me some mild psychiatry medicines for my problem. Please suggest the duration of dosage as well. Is it possible to cure somatization? Please only psychiatry doctors reply.

Well Mr. lybrate-user feeling pain in many parts of the body doesn't necessarily be only somatizarion. It can also be due to extreme stress, work pressure, irregular sleep pattern, worries, depression or anxiety. Well don't try to rush into a diagnosis now. Somatization disorder can definitely be controlled and kept under check by treatment. But usually this disorder occurs more in middle age people than people of your age. It is highly unlikely to be Somatization disorder. I feel you can be suffering more with a depressive disorder or anxiety perse which can definitely be treated with good outcome. Kindly consult a psychiatrist. Do yoga and exercises daily. Eat healthy. Sleep well. Avoid smoking / alcohol if any. Be relaxed stay healthy.
