Hi, I am 31 years old female, I already had a 4 year old kid. I am suffering from vitiligo (White Patches). My father also had vitiligo. Can I plan for second child. Is there any chances of getting vitiligo to my children?

If vitiligo are running in a family then, it is most likely that it will affect the coming generation as well. Owing to it's genetic basis. So if you want to prevent it from having in the coming generation, you can keep your child at an optimum health (mental and physical) and maintain a very good immunity. Because actual pathology of vitiligo is autoimmunity.

You can plan for second child. Vitiligo is just disappearance of pigment from the skin. It doesn't cause any harm though your children may or may not get it.
