Antibiotic alone may not help as the problem will return back soon as food lodgement occurs again under the flap warm salt gargles will give. U relief for tt consult a maxillofacial surgeon if molar not in correct direction it may have to b removed or the flap has to b excised.

Medications relieve the symptoms temporarily. The best treatment is to get the offending tooth pulled out.(i mean when pericoronitis involves wisdom tooth)

periodontitis can't be treated with medications alone. you have get your scaling done.
