The bleeding from your gums and the blackening (stain deposition) is due to accumulation of food debris, which is a result of inadequate maintenance of oral hygiene. I suggest that you get thorough professional cleaning/scaling done from a dentist, and use antibacterial mouthwashes thereafter. Following all these measures will solve your problem. Hope that helps.

Dear lybrate user, blackening of gums is due to increased pigmentation which is absolutely curable. Gum bleaching/ gum de-pigmentation. A clinical checkup would be required to determine the cause, status of gum health and the treatment plan as per your needs. The procedure used can be surgical, chemical or laser technique. Complete healing takes place in 2-3 weeks if body immunity is good. The pigmentation is due to smoking, genetics, certain medications or Vitamin E deficiency. Determine the cause. Vitamin deficiency can be taken care of by consuming rich sources of vitamin E like cooked spinach, kiwi, olive oil, broccoli etc.
