Dear lybrateuser, -before going in for medication you should try to modify your eating & exercise habits & see whether there is any change or not -do restrict your sweet intake as you have mentioned that you eat a lot, have a small portion just once a day, also reduce your sugar intake in tea, coffee, milk instead use ginger, cardamom, kesar for flavor, have green tea mixed with half teaspoon of honey which is very beneficial for the body, have 2-3 fruits/day, have 4-5 servings of vegetables mainly green leafy & seasonal ones -do regular daily exercises like brisk walking, light jogging for 30-40 min per day, also include yoga & meditation in your routine for 10-15 min in the morning -check sugar every week for 4 months, if still level doesn't come down then consult a diabetologist.

Hi, your reports show that your blood sugar levels are gradually increasing and your hba1c is definitely high. Therefore, it confirms that you are diabetic. But right now you need not be on oral hypoglycaemics. Be on strict diabetic diet (avoid direct sugar) and start walking for 1 hour daily for one month and then check your fbs and ppbs along with urine sugar and revert back with the reports. If the values are within normal range, then you can control diabetes with strict diet and exercise for the time being.
