After how many weeks fetal heart beat can be recognized. My cousin is currently at 6th week undergone for scan, unfortunately heart beat not recognised on fetal.

6 weeks, heart beat can be seen by ultrasound and it can be a few days later also but if not visible by 8 weeks, it needs to be investigated.

Hi lybrate user, at about 5 weeks gestation, your baby's heart begins to beat. At this point, a normal fetal heart rate is about the same heart rate as the mother's: about 80-85 beats per minute (bpm). So I think there is a development problem and rescan in a week to confirm diagnosis and to take further step.
