Hello doctor, my dentist did RCT of my 10 years old daughter, Is it safe for her, please suggest me any medicine that to prevent her other teeth from cavity or stop cavity if have in any teeth.

All food & drink containing sugar, sticky food, dry mouth, improper oral hygiene that includes improper brushing, flossing, & tongue cleaning can cause tooth decay. There is no medicine or vaccines to stop or prevent tooth decay. Rampant caries progresses at a faster rate in children and it involves multiple teeth. It?s also called nursing bottle caries as the decay spreads due to feeding milk during the night & putting the baby or children to sleep without brushing. Hence early diagnosis and initiation of preventive and restorative therapies are imperative in its management. Rampant caries can affect the early permanent dentition if the child has improper dietary habits and poor oral hygiene maintenance. Do not expect your child to brush regularly. Instead its parent?s responsibility to be studious enough to brush your child's teeth twice daily.
