It is better for diabetics to avoid sugar/ honey/ jaggery/ sabudana as these are source of empty calories, cause spike in blood glucose levels & lead to obesity. sweets/ chocolates/ cold drinks/ ice cream should also be avoided. In case of sweet cravings it is better to include a piece of sweet fruit like banana/ mango/ grapes/ watermelon/ jackfruit/ dates. You may also have artificial sweetener (stevia) if still sugar taste is needed.
