Mr. Vijayendra, if one is diabetic, then honey is not advisable. Again it depends on the quantity that one is talking about. Honey contains mainly fructose, which gets rapidly converted to triglycerides and can put a load on liver. Honey also has glucose (50% glucose, 50 % fructose like sucrose), so it also increases blood sugar rapidly. It may be taken in small quantity only when your blood sugar is in very good control. But in my sincere opinion, I would avoid it. Thanks for the question.
