When pains are intermittent and short time lasting but coming at regular intervals and interval time decreasing they are likely to be labor pains. May be associated with slight bleeding called show or passing of thick mucous or thin liquid. Most important is anytime in doubt go and meet obstetrician with whom you have registered for delivery. Stop taking anything by mouth and depending on instructions given by hospital where you have registered follow those instructions.
