I am 60 years old male and have platlets less (90 ths) last 3 years. What is the reasons and what I should do. Please advise me.

If you have such low platelets consistently for 3 years, you may have some form of bone marrow suppression. However, the data ypu have provided is incomplete for such a diagnosis. You need to share what is your rbc count and tlc as well as ypur hemoglobin. If all three are of low value, then you may need to go for a bone marrow biopsy. You need to share whether you are taking any drugs at present. Some drugs also cause bone marrow suppression. However, if the above values are normal and only your platelet is low, and you are not having any difficulty, you may not need to do anything. Thanks.
