Does your work involve standing for long hours or did you hurt your ankle in any way- did you fall down or have an accident? these are all possible reasons that your ankle might be paining. Please check if there is a swelling- then you will need an x ray of that foot and an orthopedic consultation. If there is no swelling, soak your foot in warm water atleast twice a day and apply some pain killer ointment (omnigel or any other voveran gel) on it atleast three times per day. Take tab. Paracetamol 500mg twice a day after meals for 2 days. Also pay attention to your footwear. The sole of your shoe/ footwear should be soft. Warm regards,
