Hi I wear braces and I brush twice a day. But I ate at least 5 times a day. So even if I rinse properly, a few food particles still get stuck to my wires. I need your advice on how to deal with situation and how can this affect my treatment?

Hi. Its definetly difficult to deal with when treatment begins. You should rinse properly after anything and do warm saline gargles twice or thrice a week. It will keep your gums clean and reduce bad odour. Generally I recommend mouth wash for continuous ten days every month when braces treatment is going on. Massage your gums twice a day with a gumpaint for ten days. It wil definetly help you.

Brush your teeth twice a day, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Floss your teeth inter dentally once a day. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and have regular thorough dental check-ups where your dentist will look at the health of both your teeth and your mouth.
