Hello I am 28 years female I have a copper t IUD inserted in 2013, the problem is I forgot about the date of expiry will there be any problem if it's still in the ureters even after expiry.

Their expiry date is from three to ten years depending upon the make the best thing is you get it changed there will nit be any harm in that.

After expiry, there won't be side effects but the efficacy of cu- t will be significantly reduced. So better remove it now and if you want can get a new one as soon as possible.
