How to manage ward with excessive violent behaviour. My ward is a medical 2nd year student. She had scored good marks in neet and had secured a government medical college seat. Situation started during her first year, when one of her batch mate committed suicide. Police interviewed few selected students including my ward and she has not been the same since. She has gone paranoid and thinks that everyone is out there to get her and her electronic devices are being tracked. She sees everything with suspicion and reacts excessively in even little things. Recently she has started getting violent as well, both verbally and physically. What can I do to help het in this condition, kindly suggest.

Hi lybrate-user good to know that your ward has secured a seat in government medical college which shows she is an intelligent and ambitious person. It must have been difficult for her when she was interviewed by the police after her batchmate committed suicide. It seems like she often has thoughts of the incident and that could be causing her to have anger issues and feel extremely afraid. To feel better she can consult a psychologist and talk about what she went through. She needs someone with whom she can talk to and share her thoughts, feelings, and emotions. She is a good person and she has not done anything wrong. A psychologist will help her feel better. Since she has gone through a difficult period it will take time for her to feel better. It is important to remember that she will feel better. It will be good if she can get good amount of support from family members and friends. Contact me for counseling session. Along with counseling I can suggest natural foods to calm the mind.
