Hello doctor (s), My wife (age: 29 years) has been witnessing high rate of hair fall since last 3-4 months. She is taking all the steps to stop it, but it is not helping. Her diet is also balanced, but still there is no reduction in the hair fall. Will appreciate if someone can provide suggestion on this? Thanks Rahul.

Hair loss happens due to various reasons and shampoos and oil alone will never be able to stop your hair loss. There could be some nutritional deficiency or hereditary factor or some medical problem if it has persisted for mor than three months. I would like to advise her to have a balanced meal with enough proteins and have two cups of green tea daily. Also have walnuts, almonds and flaxseeds regularly. Start a multivitamin supplement and exercise atleast four times a week to improve blood circulation to the scalp. If her hair loss does not reduce in two months after doing this you may need further investigation. A female hair loss needs a thourough detection. An early treatment is the key to successful results in hair loss cases as the damage to hair follicles can be prevented with the right treatment.
