My daughter is 6 years old and gone low platelet count third times. Her platelet count becomes <10000 (ten thousands) suddenly having symptoms rashes, bruises, red pin-pointed dots on body. 1st & 2nd time, she got recovered from prednisone (20 mg), but this time, even after giving 8*20 mg prednisone in 3 days, her platelet count decreased from 4000 to 3000. What to do, is it itp or ttp? No family history, no other underlying infection sir.

Please don't take risk, hospitalize her. One of the classmate of my gr daughter had same disorder, in home he become worse, after all treatment is possible in hospital. If bleeding starts very difficult to control.
