I am 45 year old male. My wife is 35. We have 13 year old son. My wife now refuses to have second child stating that she has health issues and she also fears that what if the second child is not normal. All my efforts to convince her has failed and she goes into dull mood. She says she has cholestoral issues and thyroid problems. Though she is on medication, my physicial never told us not to try. The ldl is 200 for her as per latest test done 10 days ago. Could you please help me to guide my wife in this matter.

Dear, having children is individual choice. As your wife has her own explanation for not having a second child, I think you should not force her to do so. Because forcing could lead to stress and related problems. You should try to win her trust. Slowly one day her mind should change. Taking psychological approach may help. Take care.
