I had a hemangioma on my left cheek for about 4 years. It was colorless, did not hurt, but it was like a lump that bothered me. I underwent a surgery last year to remove the hemangioma, but I did not notice a difference in the lump. I then underwent a second surgery last month and still see the same results. Is this scar tissue? What should I do to remove this?

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you. Hemangiomas of the skin develop when there's an abnormal proliferation of blood vessels in one area of the body. Experts aren't sure why blood vessels group together like this, but they believe it's caused by certain proteins produced in the placenta during gestation (the time when you're in the womb). Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.
