Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. Your complaints have arisen as per your history from uncontrolled diabetes which initially affected your eyes and is now causing neuropathy. You don' t require a surgical intervention when the cause is a medical one, so my advise to you is to meet up with your endocrinologist and get yourself evaluated, if he suggests to you that it is compression in lower back region for which you have mentioned no complaints, then you may come back to me and we can discuss your case in detail. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. Thanks & regards Dr Akshay Kumar Saxena
