I am taking calendula 200 and silicea 200 once in the morning, a day to cure my anal abscess as per doctor's advice. But it's been a week and I can't feel any change in the shape of abscess. I never got any discharge. But maybe the irritation is less now. Are the medicines working on me? How long it takes for abscess to shrink?

Healing could take a week or two, depending on the size of the abscess. During this time, new skin will grow from the bottom of the abscess and from around the sides of the wound.
