My wife is undergoing treatment for scabies and apart from her previous medicine doctor started new medicine called medrol 16 mg and after taking that my wife started vomiting and loose motion. Kindly suggest if above mentioned tablet is right for scabies.

Dear User, usually medrol is not prescribes as it is a steroid which diminishes the natural immune system of the body. The vomiting and diarrhoea does not have anything to do with medrol. But I also need to know how long has she been on treatment for scabies and what medication is she on.

Medrol is an oral steroid, usualy given in dermatology to control acute allergic or inflammatory condition. It's not an absolute treatment of scabies but it can be used in uncontrolled inflammation or pruritis due to scabies in some cases. This should not be prolonged and tapered gradually. Meanwhile continue the scabies treatment.
