I have a deep cut on my thumb while cleaning the bike chain, thumb went into the chain and crushed the finger. Some flesh has gone and the doctor dressed the wound. Now how often I should change the dressings because every time they are changing the dressing it's giving me unbearable pain due bandage stuck to the wound. Every time wound is reopening due to this and loosing some blood. How often I should go for dressings? Can I leave the wound open without dressing because i'm staying in the home and not going anywhere.
