It can only be corrected by proper refraction after dilating both eyes and subjective after 3-4 day. Many a times it is difficult to correct full refractive error in one go. So the ophthalmologist will compromise trying to give maximum power with maximum vision in first go. On 2nd and subsequent visit (may be after 6 months) he will try to match refractive error with the first refraction. You better consult a good ophthalmologist who will take of it.
