I took finasteride for 8 years along with minoxidil. I stopped using both 4 months back. It is since I found that finasteride blocks dht and I need dht to grow beard. Now I started using just minoxidil with vb7 hair tablet to control the massive hair fall. I need beard so need a dht booster medicine. It seems I have been taking finasteride for 8 years and it is a dht blocker and for this I have no beard almost. My testosterone level is normal as I found in a blood test I did recently. I need someone to tell me some name is medicine which boost dht as I need beard.

As you have taken finastride for a very long period. I don't know why your doctor has not stopped it after a certain time. Need more blood tests to b done to get you started a complete treatment for hairloss. So please proceed in a planned way if you need to get rid of hairfall.
