My son is 7 and half year old. Sometimes transparent mucus comes from his anus. In the month of march this year it occurs 2-3 days once in night and got cured automatically. I gave him albendazole and probiotic enterogermina. But after one month in may again the problem started. Since then some sticky transparent mucus coming out from his anus (while sitting or playing) 2-3 times daily. However, he looks healthy, taking complete diet and no other health related issue, no pain in stomach. First of all the mucus was transparent. I consulted a doctor he suggest metrogyl for 5 days. But the problem remain as it is. Later on Dr. suggested antibiotic cefixime and lactobacillus sachet for 5 days. Than mucus was thick white cough like. But still problem not cured. Again he continued medicine for next one week. Now sometimes (in 3-4 days, once or twice) non sticky watery discharge was coming out. Then I consulted another doctor he gave rifaximin and enterogermina for 5 days. Now sticky mucus is not coming frequently. But he feels sticky internally sometimes. But now once or twice in 3-4 days non sticky transparent water discharge is still coming out. Dr. again continued the same medicine for next 5 days. His all dairy products are stopped completely. Now doctor is also saying for bowel rest for 3 days. His routine stool microscopy and reducing sugar test report were normal. Please suggest what should I do now and what treatment should be given to him.
