I'm on yasmin contraceptive for 13 days now. I vomited once and had diarrhea for the first 3 to 4 days 5 hours after taking the pill. I have been bleeding not spotting for the last 5 days. Is this normal? I have been taking the pill as normal while bleeding. Should I stop taking the pill since I am bleeding or finish the last 8 days I have left of this month's pill?

Hi Lybrate user, you can continue the yasmin contraceptive ,start cap pan d before meal and before taking the pill.

Hi lybrate-user. I think you have missed taking a tablet from the 21 pills. These should be taken everyday on time without missing a single day. Otherwise bleeding will start in between ie before finishing your course. And as a contraceptive it is not effective if you miss a single tablet. There are chances that you conceive if you miss the tablets. If you had started your periods already then start taking the complete course again. I mean leave the 8 pills. Buy a new strip of yasmin and start from today. Every day at 9 pm after your dinner. Set an alarm for a particular time and take. If any further doubts please contact me through online consultation.
