I am having pain in my jaws and there is blood coming from it whenever I brush, even I feel the pain when I am sleeping on the either side on my pillow. I am confused is it because of the pillow or bedding or it's something related to dental and how to get rid of this problem. Thanks.

Hii, bleeding gums is a sign of periodontitis (pyrrohhea in lay man terms), which means inflammation of gums and the surrounding tissues of tooth. These are some tips you can follow while in lockdown :- 1) warm saline gargle 2-3 times a day 2) always rinse your mouth thoroughly after ever meal 3) use a dental floss to remove any food stuck between your teeth. Avoid using toothpicks. Make sure the interdental area (space between two teeth) is clean and free of any food particle at all times. 4) brush twice a day (morning and night) and use an ultrasoft brush to do so. Ultrasoft brushes are readily available in all small and big stores. Almost all big brands like colgate, sensodyne, oral b manufacturer ultrasoft brushes. 5) brushing strokes are important. Strokes should always be vertical and not horizontal. Medication :- apply rexidine m gel on your gums, thrice a day for 5 days. This medicine is available in almost all stores in india. Treatment :- once the lockdown ends, you can visit your dentist and get scaling done.
