I am 39 years old male and have dry cough from last 21 days (cough not continuous, it is irritation in throat and cough) and my eyes gets heavy means sometimes my eyes get burning effect. I have taken local doctor advice and he advised it is due to tonsil. He has given his medicines but have not got any relief. Later I have taken amoxicillin capsules cipmox 500 mg (one capsule per day) with grilinctus for 4-5 days. It gets reduced till when it is taken. Once both the medicine is stopped, the irritation of throat and cough gets activated with burning of eyes sometimes. What should I do now?

Dry cough for 21 days without fever & getting some relief after 'grilinctus' is suggestive of lower airways obstructive pulmonary diseases. You get your pulmonary function test, total & differential blood counts done.in teh mean time youcan take salmeterol+fluticasone (trade name flutrol) rotacaps with the help of rotahaler once daily & tab'montelucast'+'levocetrizine trade name montemac-l once daily. You can get back to me after your pulmonary function test & blood test result.
