hello lybrate user. causes of chronic dry cough can be due to lung causes like infections, pleural causes like effusions etc. or upper respiratory causes like sinusitis, throath infections, post nasal drip and other causes like allergic bronchitis or rhinitis. or GERD. WE need to rule out other causes and treat the cause of dry cough for relief. take care.
