I was advised for a laser dental cleaning procedure. I am 50 year old and a diabetic for more than 10 years. Two teeth requires extraction as suggested by Doctor. And also advised for re-shaping to smile for the front teeth. Is the laser cleaning be a safe procedure and adjusting the teeth by clipping advisable at this age. Please advise.

Hello , Cleaning teeth with Lasers is generally not done and i doubt the use of it, considering full mouth cleaning. Ultrasonic cleaning should be good enough for you. Extractions can be done if blood glucose stats are stable since you have not informed your blood glucose level, i am not in a situation to advise you as of now. Coming on to reshaping, Yes, it can be done with the use of crowns/laminates at any age considering the longitivtiy of tooth seems good. Regards
