This condition is known as osmf. It's good that you left the habit. You will have to undergo the tt for osmf injections r given once to twice in month will improve your mouth opening gradually. Physiotherapy at home mouth opening exercises will sort out the problem completely.

Your condition is called oral submucous fibrosis. Bad thing about it is it is called precancerous lesion. Good part about it is it is curable if and only if you discontinue with your habits. Discontinue consuming tobacco, supari in any form (chewable or smoking). Also avoid red chillies and tomato seeds. You need to see a dentist. He may advice for injections. It will help you open your mouth slightly more and reduce any burning sensation associated with oral submucous fibrosis. Also balloon blowing and opening mouth with gradually increasing ice cream sticks will help (say 5 to begin with and gradually increase to 8 or 9). If your local dentist can't help you with treatment (because many dentist don't do this treatment) I suggest you go to dental college or oral surgeon. Ask if you still have doubts.
