I had suffered from nephrotic syndrome at age 7. Had recovered completely. Now at age 35, the urinary proteins in urine routine tests are +++ and 24 hour urine protein test result shows 4225.77 mg/24 hrs. I am consulting a nephrologist and have been given medication to reduce bp as it has increased in the last 1 week. I am considering taking ayurvedic medication but have heard a well known nephrologist say that ayurvedic medication is toxic for the kidneys and best avoided. Kindly help me understand better.
