Hi Mr. lybrate-user, androgenic alopecia is due to hormone dht which acts on the roots of hair and causes to alter the hair cycle and reduces the life of hair and causes thinning of the hair shaft by shrinkin of hair follicles. Biotin are only supplements of minerals and cannot do anything in cales of androgenic alopecia, however they can be useful in cases of hair loss due to nutritional deficiency.
