My blood glucose levels are in border line I have two stents my cardiologist suggested tablet obimet sr 500 mg for 3 months saying that I can discontinue if sugar levels are normal. But as far as I know if you start medicine once you have to take it life long. I have two stents. Kindly advice. This is second time I am putting my query.

Your blood sugar can become normal if you reduce your weight by 5 kg but in case you are unable to reduce tab metformin 500 mg I s a good option. Best wishes.
