I am taking cefixime n my lab test for vdrl hiv n hbsag came negative, can the drug cause false lab results.

Hello, The antibiotic has no effect on the validity of test results. However please be clear that your Dr. (the one who recommended the tests) will correlate the results with the timing of tests done after the suspected exposure ie to take in to consideration incubation period or window period ,as applicable, to confirm if or not you need further test or not, esp for hiv. And if you self refered yourself for the tests than pl do take pvt consultation with any hiv spl you wish to consult for further info.
