To get strong and healthy hair have a well balanced diet and work towards reducing stress levels. Include plenty of fruits, green leafy vegetables, dairy products (milk, paneer, yoghurt, etc, eggs, meat, pulses and sprouts in your diet. Also drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest and maintain regular sleeping hours. Maintain scalp hygiene. Exercise regularly to maintain a healthy body (and healthy hair will surely be a part of it).
