Is there any treatment for bilateral AVN of femoral head without joint replacement as I am suffering from same for last 4 years. Impression of MRI - Mr. imaging reveals bilateral AVN of femoral head- ficat stage 3 with mild bilateral hip joint effusion.

Hello, once there is loss of shape of the head with avn, nothing helps except thr. Seeing your age. The treating Dr. May try a bipolar prosthetic replacement of the head only, which will work for few yrs. Followed by a total replacement in future. Take care.
