My Aunt has been operated for removal of uterus as CIN grade-1 had been diagnosed based on biopsy. During operation, Dr. Asked whether to remove overy along with uterus or not. We asked what is her (Dr) suggestion in this and she told to keep overy intact as Aunt is of age 40 (not very old). Please suggest what was supposed to be done in this case.

You did the right thing. If there is no reason ovaries should not be removed. As it?s ovary that produce female hormones. She is just 40, so she needs those hormones.
