Hello Dr. my due date is 2nd October. This 9th month I had an fetal well being ultrasound which shows fetal brain shows mild dilation of lateral ventricle the near ventricle is less dilated 12 mm than far ventricle. Maximum dilation is seen 16 mm in occipital horn of lateral ventricle .cisterna magna is normal in depth. Fetus spine and cerebellum appears normal. Csp not well delineated. This scan is done at 36 week. I had an level 2 ultrasound on 5th may 18 weeks pregnancy but that time everything was normal. According to sonologist prognosis appears favourable as there is no other associated anomalies detected but I am very worried about that is it hydrocephalus whether my baby needs a shunt.
