Hi my daughter is 14 months old. What quantity and at what intervals should I feed her with milk and meals? Can you please provide me a brief diet chart for her. She is eating khichdi rice dal and dalia well but is reluctant with chapati. Because according to my in-laws theory I have to feed her two spoons/two bites every half hour, they say baby?s stomach is very small they can not take full meal at once.

You need to keep increasing the variety of foods to your child now for proper growth. At this stage you can introduce curd, paneer, nuts, fruits, veggies, green leafy veggies, soups, eggs etc. Baby can now be given three meals plus three mini snacks during the day. That is total five or six times feeding. There is no need to feed every thirty minutes. It will spoil the child's eating habits plus it becomes a burden for the parents too. The child has enough stomach capacity to last for 2-3 hours now. She can eat whatever you are eating except for spicy things. For chapati, try to cut in different shapes and give her small pieces which she can play with and eat slowly, that way she will get used to eating chapati. No need to force, just try gently by telling stories etc. Make food times as fun times and you will never have a problem. Kids are moody and their tastes will keep changing and evolving, just be patient with them and things will be fine.
