I have ibs so I did total IgE test. And the value is 8.5 .what does it mean. Is it normal. Please help.

Variations in the upper limit of normal total serum IgE have been reported: they can range from 150 to 1,000 UI/ml; but the usually accepted upper limit is between 150 and 300 UI/ml. If your report is mentioned in the unit as above you have no increase in IgE and is free from allergy.
